Playground is Now Live on Testnet: Start Building On-Chain Worlds

Your personal slice of the metaverse is now fully on-chain! Playground is now live on the Somnia Testnet, offering anyone the chance to create and explore immersive virtual spaces or create their own complex experiences.

Playground is free to use and open for everyone to try, and it’s web-based, so you can just access it through your browser without downloading any software.

What Can You Do in the Playground?

With Playground, you have the power to build, customize, and share your own immersive environments right from your browser. You can start by designing your own 3D space and personalizing it with a variety of objects and decorations to make it uniquely yours.

Once you build your world, you can bring in your custom on-chain avatar to explore the space, interact with others, and express your identity. Playground also allows you to display 2D art and NFTs inside your world, making it a perfect venue for digital galleries, art shows, or personal expression. Each asset you build, mint, or place is stored fully on-chain, giving you lasting ownership of your creations.

OG Somniacs and Somnia Discord members with the “Creator” role will have early access to Playground’s building tools, allowing them to create items and experiences, but these features are still not available for public use.
