Somnia’s Highlights From Token2049 and Korea Blockchain Week

Somnia spent September in Asia, visiting Korea Blockchain Week and Token2049 in Singapore! We had a packed schedule of side events at each location, and a massive booth at Token2049! In this review we’ll cover some of the highlights from each event!

Let’s start with Korea Blockchain Week, where our month began.

Our CMO, Michelle gave a talk at a Desci event, discussing how research might work in the Virtual Society.

After a long day of networking we joined a party with our friends at 071 Labs and DWF Labs.

We participated in the KBW Hash Hour with Halborn, Layer3, Oortech, CoreDAO, DeFimans, SushiSwap and Pel.

The Somnia team had a nice brunch with CertiK. After some great food and refreshing drinks our CMO Michelle told everyone in the cafe about what we’re building at Somnia!

It wouldn’t be a web3 conference without our flagship Uniting Societies event! For this event, we hosted a wine mixer at a local cafe.

We wrapped up the week with a great party at a hip venue in downtown Seoul with our friends at ZKcandyHQ and Pyre Labs. An awesome way to end an amazing week!

A week after KBW ended we were on our way to Singapore for Token2049, where our schedule was even more hectic!

Somnia had a MASSIVE booth at Token2049, and our merch made it a very popular destination!

Somnia kicked off our first event for Token2049 Singapore at the FAT Awards, in collaboration with our media partner Odaily China.

Our founder Paul Thomas joined the Somnia team at Epicweb3’s Modular & L2 Day!

Paul also spoke on a panel at “Raise the Roof” to talk with other founders about how to kickstart your Web3 journey!

The Somnia team was at the Founder & KOL Social Mixer with TaskOn, Decubate, The Monster App, Mpost and more!

Had a great breakfast with Halborn, Utila, Beefy Finance, SushiSwap, Dojima Network, Spherex Tech, and Circuit at Token2049 the 2nd day!

Somnia Content Lead John Vibes shared some strategies on how to make Web3 games more successful with a great audience at Mpost’’s Hack Seasons conference at the National Gallery in Singapore!

We ended our journey with another successful Uniting Societies event, with talks from the team as well as our guests Unstoppable Domains!

Next up is Devcon in Bangkok this November! Stay tuned to our socials for more information about all of our upcoming side events!
