Over the past week, we had the incredible opportunity to engage with developers and founders in Nairobi and Accra, bringing the power of Somnia’s fast blockchain performance to some of the most enthusiastic minds in Web3. The response? Absolutely inspiring.
A Growing Community of Builders
At our meetups in both cities, we welcomed over 100 developers eager to learn about building on Somnia. The energy in the room was electric. Developers were excited to see how Somnia’s high-speed transactions and scalable infrastructure could power their applications. From smart contract deployment to data indexing, the curiosity and engagement from attendees reinforced the need for accessible, efficient, and developer-friendly blockchain solutions.
The ATS Experience
Attending the African Tech Summit in Nairobi was another highlight. The event was filled with incredible discussions on blockchain, fintech, and the broader Web3 ecosystem in Africa. Meeting with builders and thought leaders from across the continent emphasized just how much potential exists for decentralized solutions to drive innovation.
Human Connections Powering On-Chain Solutions
One thing became clear: real-world, in-person connections matter. Seeing developers connect, share ideas, and collaborate reminded me why human interaction is key to building sustainable blockchain ecosystems. The passion and drive of the people I met reaffirmed Somnia’s mission—to provide a fast, scalable, and developer-friendly blockchain that enables mass adoption.
