As we turn the page on an incredible 2024, Somnia is looking ahead at an even bigger and more impactful year in 2025. With some huge milestones ahead, including the continuation of our Devnet, the highly anticipated launch of our Testnet, and the ultimate debut of our Mainnet, this is the year when the dream we’ve been building truly comes to life.
Building on the Momentum of 2024
In 2024, we laid the foundation with key launches like the Somnia Playground and World Builder, along with our recent Devnet launch, which has seen millions of transactions and thousands of developer sign-ups. The success of our event has showcased the potential of our blockchain, and publicly proven our 400k+ TPS, sub-second finality, and sub-cent fee benchmarks.
Testnet and Mainnet: A Glimpse Into the Future
One of our biggest milestones this year will be the launch of our Testnet, which will provide a complete environment with all the key infrastructure needed for developers to experience Somnia’s performance capabilities firsthand.
The Testnet will be your first chance to stress-test our features and evaluate our security ahead of our Mainnet launch. The network will also become more decentralized as we continue to onboard validators throughout the Testnet phase.
Our Mainnet launch in 2025 will be a massive turning point for Somnia, and the blockchain industry as a whole. With its industry-leading performance and developer-friendly design, Somnia will enable reactive mass consumer applications like gaming, social platforms, and metaverses to thrive on-chain without sacrificing user experience.

Somnia’s ecosystem saw an explosion of growth in 2024, thanks to partnerships with Yuga Labs, Grillz Gang, Unstoppable Domains, and others. We have already announced partnerships with Ankr, Hemera and thirdweb in our Devnet phase, and we’ll continue forging new alliances to bring more value and utility to our community in 2025!
