The Somnia Odyssey: A 60-Day Adventure to Unlock Your Airdrop

Mainnet has landed, and Somnia is officially live. After breaking records in Testnet with over 10 billion transactions and speeds of over 1 million transactions per second, the network is ready for the community to explore what it can really do.

The journey begins with the Somnia Odyssey, an eight-week adventure where Somniacs unlock their remaining airdrop allocations through missions across the ecosystem. Along the way, you’ll discover new apps, interact with community projects, and see firsthand what makes Somnia different.

Guiding you through this adventure is the Flying Quillie, our cosmic hedgehog hero, who must travel across distant planets to find his way home. Each mission you complete brings Quillie closer to Somnia and brings you closer to unlocking your tokens.

How the Odyssey Works

The Odyssey runs for 60 days, split into eight weekly chapters. Each week, a new planet unlocks on the map with its own set of challenges. Completing all required missions for the week allows you to claim 10% of your airdrop allocation, meaning that completing the full Odyssey will unlock the remaining 80%.

Only the free missions are required to unlock your weekly share of the airdrop. These cover the basics and only cost the standard gas fees.

Alongside them, you’ll also see bonus missions marked with a star icon. Some of these involve spending a small amount of SOMI, like minting an NFT. They are completely optional and serve as side missions, offering XP and unlocking hidden perks as the Odyssey continues.

Each task gives Quillie more cosmic keys while showing you the speed and variety of Somnia’s ecosystem. You’ll see how fast minting is, how smooth trading can be, and how transactions happen instantly. Whether it’s minting art, bridging assets, playing games, or trading memes, Somnia’s performance allows everything to happen in real time.

The Odyssey was created to fairly distribute the community airdrop and to help Somniacs discover what’s possible in the ecosystem. The Odyssey turns this into an experience. Instead of reading about the features, you get to try them yourself, while helping to set the stage for a thriving ecosystem.

The adventure lasts 60 days, and you’ll have up to 90 days to complete the green missions, but missions marked with a star will be time-limited.
