As we enter a new phase of growth, we’re excited to introduce three senior leaders who will help shape what comes next. Peter Lipka joins as Chief Executive Officer, Harry Lang as Chief Marketing Officer, and Kevin Zia as Chief Operating Officer, each bringing deep experience across distributed systems infrastructure, consumer gaming, and enterprise-scale operations.

These appointments come as we move into our next phase. Since mainnet launched last year, the Somnia ecosystem has grown steadily, with new developers building on the network and the foundation’s ambitions expanding beyond its original scope. The new leadership team is built for what comes next, a direct reflection of that ambition.

Our founder, Paul Thomas, who led the project through its earliest development stages and mainnet launch, continues in his role as Founder. His focus remains on the long-term technical and strategic vision for the network, and the new leadership team will work alongside him to accelerate execution across every part of the organization.

Peter Lipka, Chief Executive Officer

Peter Lipka has come on board as our new Chief Executive Officer, bringing extensive experience building transformative technology companies. As co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Improbable, Peter helped grow the metaverse infrastructure company from a small team to a multi-billion dollar valuation following a landmark investment from SoftBank. He played a key role in designing and architecting the core principles behind Improbable’s SpatialOS technology and has spent his career at the intersection of distributed computing, virtual worlds, and Web3 infrastructure.

Harry Lang, Chief Marketing Officer

Harry Lang joins us as Chief Marketing Officer, bringing over two decades of experience in digital entertainment and online gaming. Lang has held senior marketing positions at some of the world’s largest betting and gaming operators, including bwin, Pinnacle, Party Casino, and Foxy Bingo. He is also the author of several books and was previously VP of Marketing at game developer Kwalee, where he built award-winning marketing programs and led teams across performance, growth, and brand disciplines.

Kevin Zia, Chief Operating Officer

We have also brought Kevin Zia onto the team as Chief Operating Officer. Kevin served as Chief of Staff at Improbable, where he worked closely with the executive team to drive operational strategy across the foundation’s pivot from virtual worlds to venture building. Before Improbable, he held the position of Vice President, Technology and Operations at NBCUniversal Media, gaining extensive experience in large-scale media and entertainment operations.

As we start a new year and look toward the road ahead, it feels like the right moment to take stock of where we’ve been and where we’re going. The past year brought major milestones for Somnia, from mainnet launch to a growing global presence, but what excites us most is what’s coming next.

Reflecting on the Journey

When Somnia’s mainnet went live in September, it marked the end of a long development cycle and the beginning of something much bigger. In the months since, we’ve been building relationships, listening to developers, and understanding what people actually want to create.

We spent significant time on the road this year, showing up at Korea Blockchain Week, EthCC, Devcon, and ETH Denver, along with numerous regional meetups around the world. These events were great opportunities to have real conversations with builders, investors, and community members who are pushing the Somnia ecosystem forward.

What we heard in those conversations started to shift our thinking. Gaming remains central to Somnia’s identity, and we continue to believe that games will be one of the primary drivers of mainstream blockchain adoption. But we also began to see how Somnia’s unique capabilities could enable entirely new categories of applications, particularly in areas that require real-time data.

Broadening the Vision

One of the recurring themes in our conversations this year was prediction markets. The success of platforms like Polymarket demonstrated that there’s massive demand for on-chain speculation, with billions of dollars in volume driven largely by political and macroeconomic events, with gamification and the tokenization of real-world outcomes adding fuel to the trend. But prediction markets have traditionally been constrained by the limitations of the blockchains they run on. Slow finality, high fees, and limited throughput make it difficult to create near real time markets that feel responsive and intuitive.

By August 2025, Polymarket had already generated $7.7B in volume, and our estimates suggest that by the end of the year, this figure may have been closer to $20B. However, with many of the inefficiencies and limitations mentioned above, what might this figure have been in a more efficient market?

New Possibilities for Prediction Markets

Somnia is the only hyper-performance L1 with native AI power, operating at an order of magnitude faster than existing networks. We empower builders and traders to create real-time, autonomous, and fully decentralized products that were previously impossible and cannot be built anywhere else.

With over a million transactions per second, sub-second finality, and fees measured in fractions of a cent, the network can support prediction markets that operate at the speed of the events they’re tracking. This opens up possibilities that simply weren’t practical before, from real-time markets around live sporting events to granular predictions about individual plays or moments within a game. You could bet on the Super Bowl, a presidential speech, or Micro events during the FOMC press conference.

Gaming prediction markets represent an obvious intersection of Somnia’s core strengths.

Imagine watching a battle royale tournament and placing predictions on which player will be eliminated next, or betting on whether a speedrunner will beat their personal best during a live stream. These aren’t hypothetical use cases. They’re features that developers in our ecosystem are actively building, and Somnia Data Streams provides the infrastructure to make them work.

Somnia Reactivity

The continued rollout of reactive features is central to our 2026 roadmap. This capability is extremely important for prediction markets. When outcomes need to be settled in real time, even small delays can create problems. A market that resolves seconds after the actual event feels broken to users, and those delays compound when you’re dealing with high-frequency, granular predictions. Reactivity ensures that applications can respond to on-chain events as they happen, which is essential for creating prediction experiences that feel seamless and trustworthy.

Beyond prediction markets, reactivity has applications across trading, insurance, gaming, and any other domain where real-time data matters. We’ve been working closely with developers throughout the year to refine the service based on their feedback, and the improvements rolling out in 2026 will make it even more powerful and accessible.

A Market of Markets

Perhaps the most exciting development we’re pursuing is what we’ve started calling the “market of markets” concept. The idea is simple in principle, but radical in its implications. Rather than limiting prediction markets to a predefined set of outcomes curated by a central platform, Somnia’s infrastructure enables anyone to create their own markets around virtually anything.

Want to create a prediction market around whether your favorite streamer will hit a certain subscriber count by the end of the month? You can do that. Want to let your community bet on the outcome of a local tournament that no major platform would ever cover? That’s possible too.

The permissionless nature of blockchain technology, combined with Somnia’s performance characteristics, means that prediction markets can become as granular and personalized as users want them to be.

This approach fundamentally changes the economics of prediction markets. Traditional platforms have to be selective about which markets they support because each one requires operational overhead. With Somnia, the cost of creating and running a market is negligible, which means that niche communities can build prediction experiences tailored to their specific interests.

The long tail of prediction markets becomes viable in a way it never was before.

The Road Ahead

Everything we’ve built so far has been shaped by the developers and community members who showed up early and told us what they needed. That collaborative approach continues in 2026, as we work alongside builders to bring real-time prediction markets and other applications to life.

The demand is clearly there. Polymarket and similar InfoFi platforms have proven that.

What’s been missing is blockchain infrastructure that can support these markets at the speed and scale users expect. That’s the gap we’re here to fill.

After three months of intensive workshops, milestone check-ins, and project refinements, the first cohort of the Somnia x Cracked Labs Dreamathon Incubator has reached its conclusion. The program was designed to identify, fund, and accelerate teams building reactive applications on Somnia, and the results have exceeded all expectations.

Ten projects have emerged as the first class of Dreamathon winners.

What makes Dreamathon different from other incubators is its focus on real-time, reactive applications that can only exist on infrastructure like Somnia. The program operated in partnership with Supafund, whose AI-driven intake and milestone scoring helped ensure that only the most committed and capable teams made it through the process. The teams that completed Dreamathon demonstrated consistent progress across multiple checkpoints, refined their ideas based on feedback, and built working prototypes that showcase what’s possible when you remove the usual blockchain limitations.

Here are the ten teams that will be shaping the Somnia ecosystem in the months ahead:

LIKWID

DeFi has always struggled with long-tail assets. While major tokens have robust trading infrastructure with deep liquidity and sophisticated derivatives, smaller tokens often lack even basic shorting mechanisms. LIKWID addresses this gap directly by building a fully permissionless, oracle-free margin trading and lending protocol.

The oracle-free design is particularly significant because it eliminates one of the most common attack vectors in DeFi. Traditional lending protocols rely on external price feeds that can be manipulated during periods of volatility or through flash loan attacks. By removing this dependency, LIKWID creates a more resilient system that can operate autonomously regardless of external conditions. This kind of infrastructure is essential for Somnia’s ecosystem as it expands into more sophisticated financial applications.

BALL3

Gaming on Somnia isn’t limited to complex MMOs or strategy titles. Sometimes the most compelling experiences are deceptively simple. BALL3 takes the addictive core gameplay of Agar.io and brings it fully onchain, creating a real-time PvP experience where players compete to outmaneuver opponents, grow their ball, and survive as long as possible.

The game demonstrates something important about Somnia’s capabilities. Real-time competitive multiplayer requires extremely low latency and high throughput because every player action needs to be processed and broadcast to all participants simultaneously. On most blockchains, this kind of gameplay would be impossible due to confirmation times measured in seconds rather than fractions of a second. BALL3 works on Somnia because the network can handle the rapid state changes that competitive gaming demands.

Valmira

Market making has traditionally been the domain of sophisticated trading firms with proprietary infrastructure and deep pockets. Valmira democratizes this by providing any token with professional-grade market-making bots and liquidity tools through a non-custodial, self-serve platform. Projects can set up their own market-making strategies in minutes without hidden fees, forced custody arrangements, or opaque deals.

The non-custodial aspect matters enormously here. Many existing market-making services require projects to hand over their tokens or treasury funds, creating counterparty risk and potential conflicts of interest. Valmira’s approach keeps projects in control of their assets while still providing the liquidity infrastructure they need to build healthy trading markets.

Bitredict

Prediction markets exploded in popularity over the past year, with platforms processing billions of dollars in volume around political and economic events. Bitredict takes this model further by building a real-time prediction market with a focus on accuracy-based rewards. The platform creates the world’s first permissionless ecosystem where anyone can become a market maker and profit from their forecasting abilities.

What distinguishes Bitredict from existing prediction markets is its emphasis on rewarding genuine predictive skill rather than just capital deployment. The accuracy-based mechanics create incentives for participants to develop real expertise in specific domains, which in turn generates more useful information for everyone using the platform.

Packara

Crypto investing has always suffered from friction. Building a diversified portfolio typically requires multiple transactions across different platforms, each with its own gas fees and approval processes. Packara solves this by offering curated, one-click portfolios that bundle tokens, liquidity positions, and yield strategies into a single transaction.

The efficiency gains here are substantial. Instead of executing dozens of individual swaps and deposits, users can achieve the same result with one action. This reduces gas costs significantly while also saving time and reducing the cognitive load of managing multiple positions. For Somnia, where transaction costs are already minimal, Packara makes sophisticated portfolio strategies accessible to users who might otherwise stick with simpler approaches.

Derad Network

Some of the most interesting applications of blockchain technology have nothing to do with finance. Derad Network is building a decentralized network of ground stations that map the sky, solving the problem of limited global airspace coverage. By incentivizing a distributed ADS-B network, Derad expands real-time aircraft tracking to underserved areas that current commercial systems don’t cover well.

This project represents the true potential of decentralized infrastructure. Commercial aircraft tracking networks are concentrated in wealthy regions with dense air traffic, leaving large portions of the globe with spotty or nonexistent coverage. A blockchain-based incentive system can coordinate contributions from participants anywhere in the world, filling gaps that centralized providers have no economic motivation to address.

Burnie AI

Content creation is exhausting. The constant pressure to produce, engage, and scale can burn out even the most dedicated creators. Burnie is built specifically for creators who want to grow their audience without destroying their mental health in the process. The platform provides AI-driven tools that help creators earn passively by leveraging autonomous agents that handle routine tasks and engagement.

These agents function as collaborators rather than simple automation tools. They can maintain consistent engagement with audiences, handle routine communications, and scale operations in ways that would be impossible for a single human creator. By offloading these responsibilities, Burnie allows creators to focus on the creative work itself while the platform handles the growth infrastructure.

Peridot Finance

Cross-chain interactions remain one of the most friction-filled experiences in crypto. Users who want to access opportunities on different networks typically need to bridge assets manually, waiting for confirmations and paying multiple transaction fees along the way. Peridot Finance streamlines this process through a Hub and Spoke architecture that enables users to deposit collateral on one chain and borrow on another seamlessly.

The architecture is elegant in its simplicity. Rather than requiring users to move assets between chains themselves, Peridot manages the cross-chain coordination behind the scenes. Users interact with a single interface while the protocol handles the complexity of maintaining positions across multiple networks. This kind of abstraction layer is essential for bringing more mainstream users into DeFi.

Carbon Opus

The music industry has been particularly slow to adopt blockchain technology despite being one of the sectors that could benefit most from decentralized ownership and direct creator-to-fan relationships. Carbon Opus builds a platform that gives artists true ownership of their work, direct connection with fans, and AI-powered tools to scale their careers.

The platform introduces creator coins that allow fans to invest directly in artists they believe in, creating aligned incentives between creators and their communities. When an artist succeeds, everyone who supported them early benefits as well. This model inverts the traditional music industry structure where intermediaries capture most of the value while artists and fans get the scraps.

DPay

Mass adoption of crypto payments has been held back by fragmentation. Every wallet has its own interface, every chain has its own requirements, and merchants have no simple way to accept payments from the entire ecosystem. DPay aggregates all of this complexity into a standard QR code that works with any wallet, making crypto payments as simple as they should have been from the start.

Beyond the payment mechanism itself, DPay introduces instant onchain rewards that actually belong to customers. Unlike traditional loyalty programs where points exist in proprietary databases controlled by merchants, DPay rewards are tokens that users own and can use however they want. This brings real-world fiat reward mechanics onchain in a way that benefits consumers rather than locking them into specific platforms.

Dream On

The end of this pilot program marks the beginning of a big journey for these projects. Each of these teams now has funding, mentorship connections, and a place in the Somnia ecosystem as they continue building. The diversity of projects that emerged from Dreamathon demonstrates the range of applications that become possible when blockchain performance stops being a constraint.

From DeFi protocols and prediction markets to gaming, music platforms, aircraft tracking, and payment infrastructure, these teams are exploring territory that previous blockchain generations couldn’t access. They’re building real-time applications that respond to user actions instantly, process data at the scale required for consumer adoption, and create value through participation rather than speculation.

Dreamathon will return in 2026 with another cohort of builders ready to push the boundaries of what’s possible onchain. For founders interested in building on infrastructure that removes the traditional constraints of blockchain development, the next round of applications will open soon.

We recently hosted the first Somnia DevCircle Lagos Builders Meetup at The Zone, Gbagada, and it delivered exactly the kind of signal we care about. The developers who attended rated the experience 10/10, which tells us the content, speakers, and overall value were strong.

More importantly, the room wasn’t filled with spectators; it had real builders and real products. We had four active projects represented, including a hackathon winner, teams that have been building consistently even without winning, and a team exploring a port to Somnia. That’s the kind of foundation you want if the goal is to build from Lagos for a global market.

This brings new utility to the SOMI token and gives holders additional opportunities for putting their assets to work.

With Gearbox Protocol, Somniacs can maintain exposure to SOMI while accessing liquidity to trade, provide liquidity, or deploy capital across multiple protocols at the same time. The credit account model allows these operations to happen through a single interface rather than requiring users to manage separate positions across different platforms.

Gearbox handles the complexity of margin management, liquidation thresholds, and position monitoring. Users interact with a credit account that automatically manages collateral ratios and exposure limits based on the assets they’ve deposited. For someone holding SOMI who wants to participate in a yield opportunity on another protocol, this removes the friction of unwinding positions or fragmenting capital across multiple wallets.

Bringing DeFi Users into the Ecosystem

Gearbox has an established user base that understands leverage, knows how to manage risk, and actively seeks opportunities to deploy capital efficiently. The integration creates a pathway for these DeFi users to discover Somnia through a familiar interface. Someone using Gearbox on another chain can now access SOMI and USDC markets, start building positions, and gradually explore what else exists in the ecosystem.

Leveraged DeFi strategies generate massive volumes of onchain activity. Many leverage protocols struggle with this volume because they’re built on infrastructure where every action carries meaningful latency and cost.

Somnia’s architecture changes this calculus. When a protocol can process over 1 million transactions per second with sub-second finality and sub-cent fees, the constraints that normally limit leveraged strategies start to disappear. Sophisticated trades that involve multiple steps, continuous rebalancing, or frequent position adjustments become viable in ways they aren’t on slower chains.

This applies to automated strategies that might rebalance dozens of times per day, structured products that need to adjust positions based on real-time data feeds, or credit protocols that need to perform constant health checks across thousands of positions. Gearbox strategies that would be prohibitively expensive to run elsewhere become practical on Somnia because the infrastructure can handle the transaction volume these operations generate.

Infrastructure for Builders

Beyond individual users deploying leverage, Gearbox functions as composable infrastructure that ecosystem projects can integrate without building their own credit systems.

This approach reduces development time and security risk. Credit systems are notoriously difficult to build safely because they involve managing other people’s money under volatile market conditions. By using Gearbox as infrastructure, projects get code that’s been stress-tested across multiple market cycles rather than building their own systems that might have undiscovered vulnerabilities.

For gaming specifically, this opens new design space. A battle royale game could let players leverage their token holdings to enter higher-stakes tournaments. A strategy game could enable borrowing against in-game assets to fund expansion. A prediction market could offer leveraged positions on match outcomes. These features would typically require extensive DeFi expertise to implement safely, but Gearbox makes them accessible to game developers who understand their players but don’t necessarily understand the complexities of DeFi.

Market Launch and Initial Liquidity

Somnia will provide $5 million in initial liquidity to activate the SOMI and USDC markets, giving users sufficient depth to execute strategies without excessive slippage.

This initial liquidity serves as a foundation rather than a permanent commitment. As users deploy capital and market makers add liquidity, the markets will develop their own depth and trading activity. The goal is to reach a point where the markets are self-sustaining, with enough participants that the initial bootstrap capital becomes a small fraction of total liquidity.

Invariant, a leading multichain AMM DEX, will act as a curator, setting parameters like collateral ratios, borrowing limits, and risk thresholds. These parameters determine how much users can leverage, which assets can serve as collateral, and when positions face liquidation. Getting these settings right is important because overly conservative parameters limit utility while overly aggressive ones create systemic risk.

Developers from around the world participated in Somnia’s mini hackathon, creating some of the first ever Data Streams applications. Today we’ll spotlight some of these developers and their projects to give the community a behind the scenes look at the early experiments happening with Data Streams.

Data Streams is Somnia’s real-time data subscription feature that eliminates polling delays by sending instant push notifications of blockchain state changes directly to applications. The hackathon challenged developers to implement SDS in a simple application on Somnia’s testnet.

Aegis Assault is a wave-based arena shooter where players defend the Aegis Core against evolving enemies while earning XP-based upgrades and unlocking NFT ship skins and soulbound achievement tokens. Every run is logged to Somnia blockchain via the Streams SDK, creating verifiable and immutable leaderboards where scores cannot be manipulated and player progress persists across sessions through wallet authentication and onchain score storage. The game features an AI Strategy Assistant powered by Amazon Q that tracks performance statistics like final score, time survived, enemy kill count, and final build choices, then analyzes this data to offer personalized advice on upgrade priorities, survival tactics, and improvement areas.

StreamWatchDAO

StreamWatchDAO demonstrates how Somnia Data Streams can power real-time DAO governance by providing instant proposal indexing, real-time vote streaming, and lightning-fast data reads that eliminate the fragmented dashboards and slow updates that often contribute to low participation.

StreamWatchDAO tracks onchain proposal and voting activity in real time through live, decentralized data streams, allowing DAO members to observe every governance action instantly without relying on centralized databases or slow indexing services. By streaming proposal submissions and vote events as they occur, the platform enables better participation and higher transparency in decentralized governance.

DeFi Stream Insight

DeFi Stream Insight is a monitoring dashboard for DeFi portfolios that uses Somnia Data Streams to provide real-time token balances, yield performance tracking, and transaction flows from connected wallets. The platform offers live portfolio value updates, real-time transaction streaming, staking position monitoring with reward tracking, and price alerts that trigger based on real-time updates. DeFi Stream Insight demonstrates how Data Streams can power the instant portfolio visibility and transaction monitoring that DeFi users need without the polling delays of traditional dashboard applications.

ChainGuard

ChainGuard is a security monitoring engine for Somnia Network that uses Data Streams to detect live smart contract exploits through behavioral transaction analysis rather than static code scanning. The platform monitors runtime behavior to identify complex attack patterns including flash loans, governance takeovers, MEV bots, transaction floods, and reconnaissance attacks, addressing the challenge that over 70% of DeFi exploits involve behavioral patterns that unfold across multiple transactions rather than simple code flaws.

The system combines behavioral detection with AI validation through Gemini API to classify exploits and assign confidence scores, providing a real-time dashboard with WebSocket-driven updates that shows live risk feeds, historical insights, and contract watchlist management. By using Somnia Data Streams to monitor Somnia’s high transaction throughput and detect multi-step attacks as they unfold, ChainGuard demonstrates how SDS can power security infrastructure that reduces exploit detection time from hours to seconds for DeFi protocols building on the network.

Battle Arena

Battle Arena is a real-time multiplayer space shooter that uses Somnia Data Streams to create instant leaderboard updates, live achievement tracking, and spectator mode capabilities. The game features an ERC721 NFT system with dynamic score-based NFTs and rarity tiers, onchain leaderboards with gas-efficient management, and champion rewards with achievement unlocks. Battle Arena uses SDS subscriptions to eliminate the 5-15 second delays and constant API polling that create poor user experiences in traditional blockchain applications.

Curious Quench

Curious Quench is a web3 application designed to help smokers quit the habit. Users track daily cigarette consumption, set daily limits, and earn $QUENCH tokens based on their progress through a rank system that rewards better performance. The platform provides transparent onchain tracking of daily submissions and token rewards, with real-time notifications that deliver instant feedback when users earn $QUENCH tokens for staying below their daily limits. When you provide liquidity, you’re depositing two tokens into a trading pool that others can swap against. In return, you receive LP (Liquidity Provider) tokens representing your share of the pool. As traders use the pool, you earn a portion of their fees proportional to your stake.

In addition to trading fees, you’ll also be earning points for the Somnia Liquidity Points Program.

Getting Started

First, navigate to the “Pools” section on Somnia.exchange. You’ll see a list of available liquidity pools ranked by 24-hour trading volume. Each pool displays its total value locked (TVL), current 24h volume, and APR (Annual Percentage Rate) from trading fees.

The interface defaults to showing “All Pools,” but you can filter to “My Pools” once you’ve provided liquidity, or “My Farm” if you’re staking LP tokens for additional rewards.

Adding Liquidity

Click “Add Liquidity” on your chosen pool. This opens a modal where you’ll specify how much of each token to deposit.

The interface shows two token fields: Token A and Token B. Each displays your current balance in the top right. Use the dropdown menus to select which tokens you want to provide. The SOMI token is native to Somnia, while USDC.e is a bridged version of USDC on the network.

Start by entering an amount for Token A. The interface automatically calculates the required amount of Token B based on the current pool ratio. You can also click the arrows icon between the fields to swap which token you’re entering first.

If you want to deposit your entire balance, you can typically click “Max” next to the balance display.

Reviewing Pool Information

Before confirming, the interface displays several key metrics:

Pool Status shows whether the pool is active. If it displays “Active Pool,” you’re good to proceed.

Current Reserves shows how much of each token is already in the pool. In the example above, the pool contains 307,439 SOMI and 84,009 USDC.e. Larger reserves generally mean more stable pricing and lower slippage for traders.

Pool Ratio displays the current exchange rate. Understanding this helps you gauge whether you’re adding liquidity at a fair price.

Your Share After shows what percentage of the pool you’ll own after this deposit. Starting from 0% means you’ll be one of the first providers, which comes with both higher potential rewards and higher risk.

Slippage Tolerance controls how much price movement you’ll accept during the transaction. The default 0.1% works for most situations. You can adjust this by clicking the settings icon if you’re adding a large amount or if the transaction fails.

Confirming the Transaction

Once you’ve entered amounts and reviewed the details, click “Enter Amounts” to proceed. This activates the confirmation flow.

Depending on whether this is your first time providing these tokens, you might need to approve token spending before adding liquidity. The interface will prompt you to “Approve” one or both tokens, which gives the smart contract permission to move your tokens.

After approval, click “Add Liquidity” to execute the deposit. Your wallet will prompt you to confirm the transaction. Once confirmed and processed, you’ll receive LP tokens representing your share of the pool.

These LP tokens sit in your wallet like any other token. They track your ownership and let you remove liquidity later.

Removing Liquidity

When you want to withdraw navigate to “My Pools,” and click “Remove” on your position. This opens a removal interface showing your LP token balance.

Choosing How Much to Remove

You can remove a percentage of your position or specify a custom amount. The interface provides quick buttons for 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, or you can drag the slider to any percentage.

As you adjust the amount, the “You will receive” section updates to show exactly how much of each token you’ll get back. These amounts reflect your share of the current pool reserves, which might differ from what you originally deposited because the pool ratio shifts as people trade.

Michael Lewis’s book Flash Boys tells the true story of how high-frequency traders gained massive advantages by shaving microseconds off trade execution times. 4. Enter Your Deposit Amounts

Enter the amount you want to provide for one of the tokens. The interface will automatically calculate the proportional amount needed for the second token based on the current pool ratio.

You can also click “MAX” next to either token to use your entire balance, but be careful to leave yourself enough gas to use the network.

6. Approve Your Tokens

If this is your first time providing these specific tokens to QuickSwap, you’ll need to approve them.

This will require one transaction for each token, but you do not need to approve SOMI, since it is the native token of the network.

7. Preview and Confirm

After approving your tokens, click the “Create Position” button. Next, a popup will appear showing:

• The exact amounts being deposited

• Your share of the pool

• The exchange rate

• Estimated transaction fees

Review these details carefully. When everything looks correct, click “Confirm” and approve the transaction in your wallet.

8. Receive Your LP Tokens

Traditional racing bets let you pick the winner or maybe the podium. With live data, you can bet on sector times, overtakes in specific laps, pit strategies, or whether the leader will maintain their gap over the next five laps. Each lap creates fresh betting opportunities as the data updates.

When the race ends, every market settles instantly based on the onchain record. This is possible because the timing data was published continuously, and contracts executed based on verified information. The people who collect the data and put it onchain can also monetize it, which encourages even more data, which will lead to even deeper markets and more complex bets.

Financial prediction markets currently rely on price feeds posted periodically by oracles. This works for daily or hourly settlements but limits the types of markets you can offer.

What is Tokos?

Tokos is a non-custodial liquidity protocol that allows users to supply assets to earn yield and borrow assets against their collateral. Users interact directly with pools of liquidity, which are constantly balanced by supply and borrow activity.

Assets supplied to the platform are deposited into liquidity pools and borrowers draw from those pools by locking up their own assets as collateral. Interest paid by borrowers is distributed to suppliers, creating a self-sustaining system where incentives align naturally.

Supplying: Earn and Collateralize

Supplying assets to Tokos allows users to earn interest while strengthening the overall liquidity available for other users. Each time you supply, Tokos mints you a corresponding amount of ArTokens. These tokens represent your share in the pool and automatically accrue yield over time.

Supplied tokens can also be marked as collateral. By enabling collateral, you unlock the ability to borrow against your deposits, effectively using your assets as working capital instead of letting them sit idle.

Withdrawing is straightforward. You redeem your ArTokens for the underlying asset, plus any interest earned. Withdrawals are subject to available liquidity, and if your tokens are being used as collateral for an active loan, you’ll need to repay or adjust your borrow position before withdrawing.

Borrowing on Tokos follows the principle of over-collateralization. This means you must always deposit more value as collateral than the amount you want to borrow. The protocol enforces this balance using a metric called the Health Factor.

The Health Factor is a real-time measure of how safe your position is. If it remains above 1, your position is healthy. If it falls below 1, your collateral becomes eligible for liquidation. Market prices, supplied collateral, and accrued interest all affect this number.

Loans don’t have fixed terms. As long as you maintain sufficient collateral, your borrow position can remain open indefinitely. This flexibility makes Tokos useful for many strategies.
